15 Persistent First Aid Myths
Their are multiple first aid myths that will not die. Some of these myths, other than perhaps delaying recovery, are essentially harmless. However, many false first aid treatment procedures are potentially dangerous and even deadly. For example, a tourniquet should only be put on under extreme circumstances. Tourniquets, as they can permanently damage arteries, should only used in cases when a hurt person could potentially “bleed out”.
