So, you’ve just got you your concealed carry permit and you’re wondering about what is the best concealed handgun? Here, is a quick overview on the best concealable carry handguns:
First of all, the best concealed handgun for everyone is nonexistent. It all depends upon the person. But, this article will give you a great place to start researching.
1. MD Creekmore of The Survivalist Blog states:
The best concealed carry handgun depends a lot on the weather – in summer you need to go smaller because you’ll have on less clothing to conceal the handgun. In summer, I carry a Glock 42 .380 and in winter a either a Glock 19 or Glock 26 9mm. For open carry, I carry a Glock 41 .45 ACP. www.thesurvivalistblog.net
2. The Concealed Carry Blog has a list of 10 best concealed carry guns. There are some great guns on this list. As what seems to be a trend the Glock shows up.
The Glock 26 and Glock 27
A concealed carry list wouldn’t be complete without the mention of this duo. The Glock 26 and Glock 27 are identical firearms aside from their calibers. Some consider them the champions of concealed carry due to their reliability and conceal-ability.
The Kel-Tec Pf-9 is the cheapest handgun on this list.
This firearm is a pretty basic setup, but offers many great reviews of happy customers. They retained the best features from our P-11 and P-3AT pistols while making it flatter and lighter for great concealment.
3. Off The Grid News-lists the five best concealable handguns.
A. Baby Glocks- Do you see a pattern?
Glock is a brand that is Spartan in nature and extremely reliable, robust and dynamic to use. Glocks are hardly imaginative and not quite the sexiest weapon, but they work well. The Glock is a superb weapon and available in 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, .357 SIG and even .380 ACP (Sigh, the Glock no one wanted). Credits: The 5 Absolute Best Concealed Carry Guns | Off The Grid News
B. Best Gun for the Money- SCCY CPX-1 and CPX-2
The SCCY series of pistols is a polymer frame made in America, and in my home state of Florida. These small 9mm automatics are quite high quality and very attractive. New models are coming equipped with a laser. These pistols come with two high quality steel magazines and a trigger lock.
They are double action only, hammer-fired weapons with a second strike capability. They feature large and luminous 3 dot sights. The SCCY series of pistols are quite attractive and don’t feel like cheap plastic. My only complaint is the grip feel is a bit wide in the hand for a 9mm. The trigger is a bit heavy. The weapon is accurate, reliable and attractive and retails for about $240, and I picked up a used one for $190.
This is just a small sampling of the best concealed handguns. Again, what the bloggers like may not be a good fit for you. So, do your research, try them out, and ask around before you purchase your handgun. And remember the so called best concealed carry handgun is the gun that serves your purpose and which you are able to comfortabally hande.
